Welcome to the Austin-Healey Club of America’s Cross Country Caravan for Kids Web pages. The caravan June 14-29 will symbolically mark fundraising activities by AHCA clubs throughout 2008 that will benefit children served by the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of America.

Members of AHCA’s 46 regional clubs in the United States and Canada have a history of generous local philanthropic support. Their previous efforts were the driving force behind organizing this first continent-wide fundraising effort by AHCA.

Through Make-A-Wish® chapters our members are committing themselves and their vintage British sports cars to helping fulfill wishes of some very special children facing life-threatening medical conditions. AHCA’s goal is to help provide as many wishes as possible through the generosity of members and those who support members’ fundraising ideas and desire to help those children.

Caravan drivers will rendezvous with AHCA regional club members across North America while traveling to “Healeys by the Bay,” the 2008 Conclave gathering being hosted by the Austin-Healey Club of San Diego. Regional clubs that already have held fundraisers will report results or plans for future fundraising activities during those get-togethers. A running tally of funds raised will be kept and reported at Conclave as part of a check presentation to a Make-A-Wish® representative. Final fundraising results will be reported early in 2009.

The following pages contain more about the Caravan, maps of its travel route and specific timing, the Austin-Healey Club of America and how you can make a tax-deductible contribution that helps children facing life-threatening medical conditions.
