1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7 For Sale
1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BN7: Minimal rust is the plus for this car. Some surface rust but no holes or patches on underside. On top side a few bubbles and a few pea sized holes on fenders and door. Previously repaired front apron, front passenger fender, passenger driver fender. Frame pretty straight compared to what I have seen on other cars. Like new 60 spoke wire wheels and tires from Hendrix Wire Wheel in 2017 which make it drive pretty smooth. Not driven much since. The car has a few concerns. Runs and sounds great but smokes. Has good oil pressure - 60 lbs. Can't remember what it drops to when warm. Overdrive slips when warmed up. Leaks all fluids. Not the original engine and transmission. Has California serial number. Has British Heritage Certificate. Original starter and alternator that work well. Brakes rebuilt. Probably needs some of the springs replaced in the gear shifter. All four wheel bearings and seals have been replaced. Rear end needs pinion shimmed but leaks little if any. TIny brake line leak but doesn't use fluid. Has a grill but was not installed for some reason when I bought it. Original color Healey blue. Have 70 plus more pictures of details and underside. Drove it 200 miles to Healey meet in Huntsville Al and back in 2017. Did pretty good in the gymkhana. Diamond in the rough award. It's not real quiet. On the way to Huntsville someone asked me to " step on it" so they could "hear what it sounds like." I shifted through the gears at the next light, and he pulled up and said, "Spot On".
